Prix Charles Tiercelin
Ett lopp över 2 700 meter, öppet för både fyraåriga hingstar och ston, där de tre främsta i mål får förtur till Prix Ourasi. Samtidigt saknas profiler som Ginostrabliggi, Golden Gio och Magic Night. Tidigare vinnare i loppet är bland andra Frank Gio, Gu d’Héripré, Face Time Bourbon och Bold Eagle. Loppet kördes för första gången 1950, vilket innebär att även namn som Une de Mai och Ourasi finns med i historieböckerna.
När hästarna nu går in i sin fyraårssäsong får alla välja ny balans vad gäller järn (tvååringar måste tävla med järnskor; som treåringar är järn, aluminium eller skor obligatoriskt).
Favoriter
Mack de Blary
Etablerade sig som kullens ledande häst i Prix Ready Cash den 12 december 2025, där han slog samtliga aktuella konkurrenter i kullen med en vass speed på upploppet. I sin första start som fyraåring tävlar han med aluminium runt om. Markerad med grön emoji och är åter favorit.
Maitre Jacques
Har letat formen under slutet av 2025. I Prix Ready Cash gick han starkt utvändigt om ledaren och visade åter sin kapacitet. Håller han sig i trav är han nästan alltid bland de tre främsta, oavsett motstånd. Kan aldrig räknas bort. Startar med järnskor runt om, vilket verkar vara det säkraste alternativet.
Guglielmo Jet
Har gjort 16 starter i karriären och galopperat i fyra av dem. I de övriga tolv har han alltid varit på pallen och vunnit sju gånger. Startar barfota här, vilket han har erfarenhet av från Italien, och det kan falla väl ut. Guglielmo Jet har en stark avslutning och har redan visat sin kapacitet på Vincennes mot samma motstånd. En skräll till segern.
Utmanare
Gabrioz
Vinnare av det italienska derbyt och gör nu sin första start i Frankrike. Han vann derbyt den 12 oktober från dödens och slog Ginostrabliggi. Lyckades dock inte upprepa prestationen i Orsi Mangelli den 11 november. Återkommer här efter nästan två månaders uppehåll. Startar barfota, vilket inte är något problem för den italienska hästen. Sulky d’Or-vinnaren 2025, Eric Raffin, kör.
Madrid Haufor
Har tillhört toppskiktet i åldersklassen och utmanade kullens bästa sto 2025, Magic Night, i slutet av året. Kan avsluta snabbt och kraftfullt. Att möta hingstar är inget bekymmer. Barfota runt om kan vara precis det hon behöver – det verkar inte vara något minus för Real de Lou-dottern.
Magnum du Choquel
Galopperade olyckligt i Prix Ready Cash. Har annars ofta varit på pallen mot liknande motstånd. Förblir en seriös utmanare, då han inte är beroende av något särskilt lopp för att prestera. Startar med aluminium runt om.
Outsiders
Mille Etoiles
Inledde 2025 som ett av kullens ledande ston men tappade något mot vintern. Hon är jämn men söker fortfarande seger – den senaste kom i juni 2025. Team Bazire hoppas att barfotabalans ska ge effekt, vilket kan signalera skrällchans. Jean-Michel Bazire kan inte köra på grund av olyckan, och det är ännu oklart vem som kör Mille Etoiles.
Morality
Alltid med i de stora loppen men når nästan aldrig pallen. Har bara en seger i karriären, så första målet är att slåss om de bättre placeringarna. Uppgiften är tuff.
Melba du Gers
Inledde karriären starkt och vann sitt första grupplopp, Prix Gelinotte 2024. Har sedan haft svårt att hitta tillbaka till samma nivå. Behöver återfå självförtroendet för att kunna utmana kullens bästa. Kanske kan barfotabalans hjälpa. Det är fortfarande oklart om Nicolas Bazire kör Melba du Gers eller Mille Etoiles – och vem som kör den andra.
Prix Gelinotte
Ett Grupp 2-lopp för treåriga ston över 2 175 meter.
Bland stona finns ingen tydlig ledare som sticker ut. Eftersom Prix Gelinotte ger förtur till Prix Roquépine för de tre första i mål, och då de bästa stona kommer att mötas oftare framöver, kan detta lopp ge en första fingervisning om hierarkin i kullen.

Nacre du Mouthieux
Har startat tre gånger och vunnit samtliga. Missade Prix Une de Mai den 14 december på grund av sjukdom, förklarar tränaren Thierry Duvaldestin:
– Hon var sjuk i samband med Prix Une de Mai, vilket förklarar hennes svaga prestation. Hon behandlades av veterinär. På grund av viruset fick hon bara promenera i flera dagar och har därför bara två–tre lopp i kroppen. Hon har tränat normalt. Räcker det? Vi får se, hon behöver tävla igen.
Nocive du Choquel
Startade till 46 gånger pengarna i sitt senaste lopp, Prix Une de Mai, men vann med en stark avslutning och placerade sig direkt i toppen av kullen. Face Time Bourbon-dottern körs åter av Françoise Lagadeuc, som körde henne för första gången just i Prix Une de Mai.
Nayara
Jämn och snabb. Gick bakifrån i Prix Une de Mai och låg helt invändigt tills mycket sent. Avslutade starkt på upploppet och blev femma. Med sin speed kan hon åter slåss om pallplatserna. Tränaren Sébastien Guarato säger:
– Hon har inte startat så mycket men har redan tre segrar. Hon är modig, okomplicerad och mentalt stark. Den korta distansen är en fördel. Jag tror hon kan ta pengar.
Utmanare
Nymphe d’Elle
Har ännu inte fått visa sin fulla kapacitet mot dagens motstånd. Även hon är en snabb avslutare som kan dyka upp sent. Intressant för strecken.
Norma Jeane
Har startat flitigt under sitt första år, med 11 lopp i kroppen. Återkommer här efter seger den 25 december, då hon avgjorde sent i ett långsammare lopp. Hon är jämn, men vid högt tempo kan det bli tufft.
Nova Tim & Nereida
Båda visar tydlig potential tidigt i karriären men har ännu inte fått utdelning mot den typ av motstånd de möter här. När deras treårssäsong nu inleds handlar det om att bygga erfarenhet och styrka. Intressanta outsiders.

– Hon har inte startat så mycket men har redan tre segrar. Hon är modig, praktisk och mentalt stark. Den korta distansen är en fördel. Jag tror hon kan ta pengar.
Noela Josselyn
Gör sin första start i ett grupplopp. Hon visar kämpaglöd men har ännu inte lyckats omsätta det i seger. Mot dessa ston väntar en tuff uppgift. Jean-Michel Bazire säger:
– Hon är trevlig, men det blir svårt att nå pallen.

Two age-class group 2 races are on the racecard this upcoming Sunday. Both age-class races are the final preparations for the goal of the winter season: the Prix Ourasi (group 1 for four-year-olds) and the Prix Roquépine (group 2 for three-year-old fillies), both on January 24. Several of the leading horses of their generations line up.
Prix Charles Tiercelin
A race over 2700m, open to both four-year-old colts and fillies, where the top three finishers earn priority towards the Prix Ourasi. Still, key figures like Ginostrabliggi, Golden Gio and Magic Night are missing. Recent winners include Frank Gio, Gu d’Héripré, Face Time Bourbon and Bold Eagle. The race was first run in 1950, meaning names such as Une de Mai and Ourasi are also on the roll of honour.
As they enter their four-year-old season, all horses are allowed to choose a new iron set-up (required to race with irons at age two; at age three, irons, plates or shoes are mandatory).
Favorites
Mack de Blary
Established himself as the leader of the generation in the Prix Ready Cash on December 12, 2025, where he beat all currently active challengers in his age class with a sprint in the last straight. In his first start as a four-year-old, he’ll run with plates all around. Starting with a green emoji, he’s the favourite once again.
Maitre Jacques
Has been looking to find his form in late 2025. In the Prix Ready Cash, he ran strongly in the death seat and showed his capabilities once again. If he keeps his gait, he’s always amongst the top three finishers, no matter the competition. Can never be counted out. Starting with all irons on, which seems to be the safest choice.
Guglielmo Jet
Started 16 times in his career, of which he broke stride four times. In the other 12, he always finished on the podium and won seven of those. Starting barefoot here, which he has experience with in Italy, could work in his favour. Guglielmo Jet has a strong finish and has shown his capabilities at Vincennes against the same opposition. A dark horse for victory.
Challengers
Gabrioz
The Italian Derby winner appears in France for the first time. He won the Italian Derby on October 12 from the death seat and beat Ginostrabliggi. Couldn’t repeat in the Orsi Mangelli on November 11. Returns here for the first time in almost two months. Starting barefoot as well, which isn’t a problem for the Italian horse. Sulky d’Or 2025 winner Eric Raffin will drive.
Madrid Haufor
Has been among the top contenders in this age class. Challenged the best filly of 2025, Magic Night, at the end of the year. Is capable of finishing fast and strong. Performing against the males isn’t a problem. Starting barefoot here might be exactly what she needs; it doesn’t seem to be an issue for the Real de Lou filly.
Magnum du Choquel
Made an unfortunate gallop in the Prix Ready Cash. Has been on the podium more often than not against similar horses. Remains a true contender, as he doesn’t need a particular strategy to finish well. Starting with plates all around.
Outsiders
Mille Etoiles
Started 2025 as one of the leading fillies of the generation, but began to struggle towards the winter season. Although fairly consistent, the filly is still looking for victory, as her last one dates back to June 2025. Team Bazire trusts that starting barefoot will help; this might be an indicator she could upset. Jean-Michel Bazire can’t drive due to an accident; it’s still unclear who will drive Mille Etoiles.
Morality
Always present in the big races, but almost never able to find a spot on the podium. Has only won once in her career, so the first step seems to be fighting for the better places. Has a task set out for her.
Melba du Gers
Started her career well, and in the first group race she ran, she won (Prix Gelinotte 2024). Has never been able to regain that strength and has struggled ever since. Needs to rediscover her confidence before being able to challenge the best of the generation. Maybe starting barefoot will help. It’s still unclear whether Nicolas Bazire will drive Melba du Gers or Mille Etoiles, and who will take the reins behind the other horse.
Prix Gelinotte
A group 2 race, designated for three-year-old fillies over 2175m.
Among the fillies, there isn’t a horse that clearly stands above the rest. As the Prix Gelinotte offers priority towards the Prix Roquépine to the top three finishers, and the best fillies will meet each other more often, we might see who has an edge over the rest.
Favorites
Nacre du Mouthieux
Started three times and collected three victories. Didn’t participate in the Prix Une de Mai on December 14 due to illness, her trainer Thierry Duvaldestin explains: " She was sick during the Prix Une de Mai, hence her failure. She was treated by the vet. Because of this virus, she only went for walks for several days and consequently only has two or three races under her belt. She worked normally. Will that be enough? We'll see, she needs to race again. "
Nocive du Choquel
Started at 46/1 in her last race, the Prix Une de Mai, but won with a strong finish and immediately put her name among the top of the generation. The Face Time Bourbon filly will be driven again by Françoise Lagadeuc, who drove her for the first time in the Prix Une de Mai.
Nayara
Consistent and fast. Raced from the back in the Prix Une de Mai and stayed completely covered until very late. Rallied in the last straight to still finish fifth. Her fast finish allows her to compete once again for the podium places. Trainer Sébastien Guarato on Nayara: " She hasn't raced much, but already has three wins to her name. She's a brave, practical, and mentally sound filly. The short distance will be an advantage for her. I think she's capable of finishing in the money. "
Challengers
Nymphe d’Elle
Hasn’t been able to show her capabilities against the opposition she meets today. Again, a fast finisher who can put herself among the others in the closing stages. Interesting for the tickets.
Norma Jeane
Has raced quite a lot already in her first year, with 11 starts behind her name. Returns here after a victory on December 25 following a late surge in what was a slower race. She’s consistent, but if the race is fast she might struggle.
Nova Tim & Nereida
Both enter the race with clear signs of potential in their early careers, but haven’t been able to turn it into a result against the opposition they’ll meet today. As their three-year-old campaign starts here, they can only build up experience and strength. Interesting outsiders.
Nereida her coach, Bastien Michardière, comments: "She hasn't raced much, but already has three wins to her name. She's a brave, practical, and mentally sound filly. The short distance will be an advantage for her. I think she's capable of finishing in the money. "
Noela Josselyn
Will race in a group race for the first time. She shows fight but hasn’t been able to transform it into a victory yet. Against these fillies, she’ll have a task set out for her. Jean-Michel Bazire mentions: “She’s nice, but it will be hard to make it to the podium.”
